Major Taylor Cycling Club of Virginia "Winning Wednesday's " on the Dumfries Rd (234) Trail in Prince William County

Join MTCCVA at Washington-Reid Elementary School for a quick 60 minute ride as the days are short after daylight savings time change.  As the days become longer rides will move out beyond 15 miles to 25 depending on your early season fitness level.

This ride has been developed to build your cycling endurance for MTCCVA's Metric or Longer Rides kicking off after the annual Capital Trail ride in May.  Ride leaders will be familiar with the clubs cyclists and would like every member to enjoy all of the sites along the way.  There will be some participants that will have shorter routes because of their physical conditioning; but will be cheered and rewarded when they meet or exceed their personal gains after each ride and the end of the year.

The routes for Winning Wednesday's will start on the 234 Trail in the Washington-Reid parking lot 16108 Dumfries Rd heading North.  Look to cover your restroom needs prior to arriving.  A local restroom exists south of Washington-Reid and across the street from the trail to the North of Washington-Reid which will require you to arrive early to prepare for the start of the ride.

Address Location: 16108 Dumfries Rd, Dumfries, VA 22025

Pre-Ride Instructions: 5:00 - 5:30 PM

Wheels Down: 5:30 PM

If you have routes that you would like to see incorporated in MTCCVA's Building Base Miles and Weekend Metrics or More; please send an email to mtccva@majortaylorva.org.  Please include the following for research:

1. Ride with GPS Turn by Turn map

2. Time of Day ride is to begin

3. Rest Stop Locations

5. Distance

We look forward to seeing on Wednesday's starting at 5:15 for bike check and route instructions with Wheels going down at 5:30.  If you are late; please ride North on the 234 Trail until you cross the group at the Turn Around spot or on their return to the start.  The Trail runs North and South which it makes it easy to support riders with different paces or have late starts.  We look to take account for our family members out on the road to start and finish safely with accountability of one another.
