MTCCVA will join many cycling clubs across the country honoring world-champion cyclist

This year MTCCVA will do a loop around Alexandria stopping a some historical sites then head down the Mount Vernon Trail to Arlington to visit the National Cemetery before heading back to Jones point. This will be an easy paced ride so all are welcome to join.

Sites include

Barrett Branch Library, Alfred Street Baptist Church, Edmonson Sisters sculpture, Contrabands and Freedmen Cemetery, Heritage Park, A Benjamin Banneker Cornerstone, and more.

While we have brought the history of Major Taylor to light it's time to recognize some of our other little known history makers.
